Social Bookmarking Buttons & Why You should Use Them
The value of social bookmarking is incalculable to blog rankings. Social bookmarking will do the following: 1. Increase the number of backlinks your site has.
2. Put those links in front of more readers.
3. Increase your web presence without advertising.
4. Give your blog a greater 'authority'
5. Etc. Etc. There's just one problem, unless you know the proper way to add a large number of buttons to your blog, you are stuck with going to each site, signing up, (still a good idea) getting each site's button code, and then editing your blog to include each of them. In my research I recently discovered the code, (I am not a programmer, so I didn't know how to write it myself) that will put a large number of buttons on your site all at one time.
You can get YOUR code at: https://www.registereverywhere.com To use this code, you will have to know how to go in and edit your blog's .css files, so it is best to either have your own hosting, with full Administrator privileges, or if that is a little beyond your expertise at this time, make sure the site you are using, has already included the buttons for you! If you are using a WordPress blog, like I do, simply go into your Admin panel, and in your WYSIWYG editor click on the "html" tab. At the bottom of your page, add in your code from registereverywhere.com
This will add the buttons to your post. If you know how to edit the .css files on your WP blog you can include the buttons in different places around your blog. At some point, you should also go to each of the social bookmarking sites, and open an account, they are all free! Then each time you fill out your profile, slip in a link back to your blog. There you have another backlink! |
